Poor Canes, and they were doing so well, too!

Did anybody watch the game last night?  How come when it was 4-on-4 and the Pens scored the Pens didn't lose their power play?  I thought if you scored it ended the penalty against the other team?

Turn out the lights... it would appear the party is over, for a couple of team.

I'd just like to see a hockey game in person, again.. I don't care who's playing.

Chiuna.. 4 on 4 is not a power play, so a penalized player wouldn't come back on if a goal is scored.
However... 4 on 4 is considered even strength.. no advantage to either team.

WAAY.. back, before the dawn of time.. it used to be that a penalty was a full two minutes, regardless of whether a team scored, or not.  The Montreal Canadians, in that day, were SOOOO good.. they would usually score a number of goals in the two minutes... so.. the league changed the rule.... power play is only until the team with the power play scores...
